NET A PORTER HAUL!!

Net A Porter is one of those websites, that I always get drawn too, but never really hauled from. I have spent countless hours going thru the beauty section and drooling over all the candy over there!

I was waiting for the perfect excuse to spend some moolah there, and finally got it when my husband and I decided we were going to take a mini one week vacation to the South of France.

I convinced myself that I really needed travel skincare products to use, and travel beach friendly makeup. So, I went on a clicking frenzy and bought myself the Eve Lom travel Skincare kit, and the Golden Goddess Charlotte Tilbury kit. I then decided that I needed a cream eyeshadow to go with my Charlotte Tilbury kit, and so behold I picked up the cream shadow in Mona Lisa.

But wait, I needed something for my flight to Nice! So, I clicked some more and picked up the Anya Hindmarch travel toiletries pouch.

I haven't tried the products yet as I am saving them for my trip, but hope you enjoyed the pictures and let me know in the comments if you've ever convinced yourself you need to buy candy that you don't really need.

A Beautiful Mall In The Form of Ibn Battuta In Dubai

Hello my beautiful lovelies!
So this post isn't really about any of my wonderful things. Instead, I want to take you on a trip with me to a pretty amazing mall in Dubai called Ibn Battuta!

This mall is super unique in the sense that its divided into six different courts: Egypt, India, China, Andalusia, Persia and Tunisia.

Now these courts are designed and inspired by some of the places the famous Moroccan explorer Ibn Battuta visited during his time.

I walked around and was amazed by the beautiful design work that's been done in the mall, that I really wanted to share it with you all. I hope you enjoy these pictures and hopefully one day you will make a trip to Dubai and explore it yourself.

Black Dior Soft Bag with Cannage Embroidery Review

This is my go to bag for work!
I've been using this bag for the past month and I still can't get over it. I've always had a love affair with Dior bags. Their bags are classic, yet they seem to also have a young and millennium feel to them.

Why do I love it as a work bag?
Well for one it's not so heavy on the shoulder. I can pack it up and not feel like my shoulder is going to fall off. The bag is also super understated and since it's black i don't have to worry about the bag matching my clothes.

But most importantly it's the compartments! You have the center portion that zips up completely. This is where my wallet, agenda and other odds and ends go. within the center portion there is a zip pocket where I keep the authenticity card from Dior and any important paper work or money inside for security.

You then have 2 side compartments which are so useful when you are out and about. One of the side pocket has 2 inner pockets where I keep my pen and my phone. The other side pocket is where I keep my LV cles that holds my keys.

Its a good size bag, that isn't too large for my 5ft petite frame. What do you guys think of this bag? Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Gucci Face - Luxe Finishing Powder First Look!

Ok, are you ready to see the most unbelievably chic piece of beauty product around!

That's right how gorgeous is she!!! Ok, so I am totally obsessed with the packaging of Gucci Beauty products! The gold and the black with the G makes me feel so luxe when i use it and when i remove it from my purse for touch-ups. I think I've even gotten some stares of awe from others around me (or i could be dreaming it).

I'm in the shade 50, and I've been using it at home with my Bobbi Brown powder brush. The texture of the powder feels soooo velvety and smooth!! This compact also comes with a small half moon brush to use on the go.

I'm going to test it out for a month and will let you know what my thoughts are after using it. Subscribe via email, so that you get updated every time I post up a new post.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation - My 2 cents on it

For daily wear i've been using the Chanel Aqua lumiere foundation for about a year, and I was getting bored of it. I love trying new things especially makeup products, and I have tried several times to put a mental buy ban on myself.I failed again! I went out to the mall, walked passed Bobbi Brown's boutique and the next thing I knew I left the store with a new powder brush, eyebrow mascara and the Skin Foundation!

I bought the shade #3, which is the beige color. According to the Bobbi Brown website this foundation is "A truly modern foundation that offers invisible, weightless coverage that looks like skin, not makeup."  This foundation is recommended for normal to oily skin as it is quite light weighted.

My first impressions of this foundation is that the texture is more on the runny side as you can see above in the picture. But, it does pack a punch! The coverage is light and really does feel like my skin, which is perfect for work and normal everyday use. I will say this though, I would not recommend this foundation for that fun night out on a Saturday or that dinner date you have with that hottie on a Friday night.

Would I buy this again? Yeap! I definitely would but I think #3 is a bit too light for me, so I may just get #3.5 which is warm beige next time.

My Move To Dubai!

So here I am a year later telling you about another change in my life. I would have to say my first year of married life was eventful! From getting married, to dabbling with new projects in South East Asia, to ending 2014 with a big decision of moving to Dubai!
Early Morning View of Dubai
I have only been here for 3 weeks, so I am still trying to settle into my new life here. I still feel a little disoriented and disorganized, which I didn't really expect! I've been to Dubai several times on holiday, so it's not an unfamiliar place. Yet living here has been a different experience.
Night View of the Marina
But I have been enjoying my time here! I still am exploring this city and I hope to share my experiences with you guys. It is a beautiful city as you can see from the pictures, and I just cannot get over my view from my apartment! How beautiful does the Marina look in the morning!
